Great website, but it would be nice if better contact information was available. I would like to join the Miami Ocean Waves Guild, but I can't find any phone number for them. I love the 2004 "Pieces of Florida" quilt! I would love to help with the 2005 "Florida Project" if there's anything left to do... Anastasia Burns mrjoecoastie@hotmail.com

I have been quilting for the past twenty some years on and off, as much as my work schedule would allow. Now that I have retired, I plan to do much more fun things, quilting being the top of my list. I went to the Jacksonville Quilt Show. I was disappointed to see that quilts that were pieced by one person ... then sent off to a professional to be quilted were in the same category as quilts done by one person. Those quilts should have been in a 2 person category. Or not judged at all.

I attended my very first SSQA meeting in Port Richey recently and was very impressed with all aspects of the event. The teachers were top notch and I enjoyed my Seminole piecing workshop very much. The lecture on Bali Batiks was fascinating and enlightening. The knowledge shared among guilds during the Friday night meeting was important and much appreciated.

The reason I went to this particular event was to learn what goes into hosting an SSQA meeting. West Pasco Guild members were wonderful teachers who went out of their way to make certain all attendees had a great time. I hope we members of Creative Quilters of Citrus County can host as lovely an event in the spring.

Looking forward to seeing my "new quilting buddies" at the SSQA meeting in Crystal River. I'm anxious to share this experience with my fellow Creative Quilters. Thank you again, West Pasco, for a great time!

I have just started to form my own ideas after quilting for 10 years. I am very interested in your site to learn more and to meet others who are interested in the "art" form of quilting. Personally, I think all quilting is art, from the pattern selection to the color selection, to the finished quilt. It is an achievement to finish one and be able to call it your own.

The Friendship Knot Quilters of Sarasota are in for a special treat when they host Ricky Tims in January. Our guild, Gold Coast Quilters, in Boca Raton had the pleasure and honor of hosting Ricky in January, 2001. He was UNBELIEVABLE ... we're still getting positive feedback. What a talented and likeable man he is. Don't miss his workshop either ... a very patient and interesting teacher. We're fans for life. Robinette A. Wonderful site. When I started quilting in Florida in St. Pete in the 70's, I was the only person at work that quilted. Templates were made of cardboard and there was no such thing as a quilt shop. I now live in Inverness, FL, belong to a guild and have many quilting friends. How great to have all these resources available now. Karen Savela, Inverness, FL.

Hi! I am from the Berry Patch Quilt Guild of Plant City, FL. We just celebrated our first year of organization and have approximately 40 paid members. We started with 21 a year ago and have grown steadily. We plan to join SSQA for 2001 as some of our members already belong individually. We thank you for your great newsletter and all the help it provides. I have never even been in a guild before and find myself as President with only a knowledge of how to organize things - having been president of several other organizations previously. So we can use all the help we can get. We are having our first quilt show at our local library for the entire month of December. It will not be a judged show but a way to introduce the Plant City community to both our new Quilt Guild and to the art of quilting. Your website is great and so is the newsletter. Thanks again for all the great things your organization does. Sincerely, Michaele B. Daramus, President, Berry Patch Quilt Guild of Plant City.
