“Specializing in Square in a Square”

Judy is a first generation quilter. She grew up in the small country setting town of Grafton, NY. There wasn’t too much to do there, so sewing and making crafts kept her busy. Quilting did not become a part of her life until she searched out a beginner quilting class in the late 1990’s. Then she was hooked.

For 28 years she worked in banking and banking software and in 2001, she “retired”. One day as she was paging through a quilting magazine she saw an ad for becoming a certified Square in a Square® teacher from Jodi Barrows. As she thought about it, this could give her a chance to combine her knowledge of banking and love of quilting together. Both are quite similar in that each is done in a certain sequence or procedure. She took the challenge and went to Dallas for her certification.

Judy has been a certified Square in a Square® instructor since the fall of 2002.
Her love of teaching has been shared with many guilds and quilt shops throughout the state of Florida. Her new venture is teaching online at www.SEW101.com. This is a great venue to share quilting with the hearing impaired and for those that like taking classes on their schedule.

She is an active member of the Florida Cabin Fever Quilters Guild in Orlando and would love to share this great technique with your guild too!
