Unapologetically messy and precision-free she teaches the joy of quilt art. In
her workshops you are inspired to relax and let your passion for quilts and
quilting flow onto fabric and become art. Full of unconventional, common sense
ideas on taking the easy way out to make WOW quilts.
Julie has been teaching since 2001, first
developing patterns and techniques to make traditional quilts easier for
beginners and busy quilters, then gradually moving into the wonderful
world of quilted art. She specializes in discovering the creativity in
self-professed non-creative quilters and turning "I've never sewn
before." into "Oh my Goodness, look what I made!". Fun is of the highest
priority in these workshops and classes.
Julie's award winning quilts have been
displayed at colleges, museums and businesses throughout North Florida
and South Georgia. She gracefully walks the line between the quilt world
and the art world fusing the two in her own unique style, all the time
sharing with others her refreshingly easy techniques.

is an experience you will not soon forget. Each story is illustrated by
a group of quilts, each one better than the last! You'll love this

With this fun and easy paint workshop you'll discover just how easy
fabric painting can be!
We'll explore several different ways to transfer images from photo to
painted masterpiece. Includes all supplies for 8x10 painted panel. You
supply borders, batting and backing. |

Thread Scribbling
workshop ~~~~~~~
What a fun and informal way to learn free-motion quilting. We'll
cover lots of ways to relax and actually enjoy "quilting outside
the lines". We'll be quilting on the hand painted panels from
the Fabric Painting Workshop, choose from several designs.
